About the Author
Hi, Iām Jules! I'm the owner of Cloud Grooming in Seattle, WA and I've been a professional pet stylist for over 10 years.
It all started at the dog shows with my Irish Water Spaniel, Bold. Through conformation showing and competitive grooming, I learned about breed trims, corrective grooming and canine anatomy. This was such a fun time in my grooming journey - I even brought Bold to grand championship with multi owner-handled Best in Show wins!
The next chapter was going to Japan to learn Asian Style grooming techniques - and the third was learning to groom with cooperative care methods. This chapter? This book!
This book came from a need - a visual guide to choosing a coat length for groomers and their customers. Together, you can use this book to choose a length that is aesthetically lifestyle compatible, and a resource for pet owners to learn how to avoid matting at any coat length.
So my wife and I wrote this book, and took photos of the same dog in 7 different haircuts - each of the standard guard comb lengths. We hope it helps you in caring for your dogs!
